Ana Amorim

Ana Paula de Amorim is the founder and CEO of VIMABIZ-International, a virtual incubator focused on growing tech start-ups building bridges between Europe and America (USA and Latin America). Vimabiz-I supports European start-ups enter the American market having Texas as entry point, as well as American companies enter the European market having Portugal as entry point. On top of offering a network of professionals and facilities to launch and grow start-ups in the American and European market, VIMABIZ-I has developed the Customer-Centric Design© methodology to maximize the ROI of new products. Customer-Centric Design is a structured approach spanning from VOC “voice-of-the customer” to emotional design, with the goal of defining customer needs and perceptions and translating them into NPD roadmaps (New Product Development).

Anamorim has a 20 year professional background on regional economic development through entrepreneurship and S&T commercialisation. Her skills range from designing IP policies to negotiating licencing deals.

Prior to Vimabiz-I, Anamorim was director of Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer at TecMinho, the TTO of University of Minho. Her last accomplishment was the design and launch of a Proof-of-Concept program (Concept-UM) in partnership with a private fund.
