Professional Experience - Miss Marques is the science and technology manager from the University of Algarve’s TTO for 3 years. Before that, she was a researcher in the field of marine sciences and water quality, with a 10 year experience. She has participated in several R&D projects in Portugal and the UK and environmental impact studies.

Also, she has a 4 year experience in teaching and student supervision in Portugal (high school and university) and a 2 year experience as a teaching demonstrator in Wales, UK (undergraduates).

Education - Miss Marques holds a Ph.D. degree in Ocean Sciences by the University of Wales, Bangor (United Kingdom) and a licentiate degree in Marine Biology and Fisheries by the University of Algarve (Portugal).

Miss Marques holds a trainer’s certificate to form new trainers and has attended several advanced courses in the United Kindgom, Italy, Germany, Spain and Portugal. She speaks Portuguese, English, French, Spanish and Italian.

Personal Interests – She is a great defender of the environment and animal welfare and rights. Her main interests involve travelling, reading, cinema, aquatic sports, and learning new things. Her favourite hobbies include long walks with the dogs, listening to good music, spend quality time with family and friends.
