UTEN Portugal is organizing, with the support of UTEN@Austin and UNL as local host, the 2nd UTEN Training Week 2010, 15-19 March, dedicated to “Spin-offs, Venture Creation and Business Intelligence”.

This 2nd UTEN Training Week is composed of a number of different activities that you can apply, namely:

1) 3-days training workshop, 15-17th March, on Spin-offs, Technology Venturing and Business Intelligence:

1.1 The morning session on Monday and networking lunch is open to all stakeholders, so please feel free to disseminate this session within your home institution, particularly senior decision-makers;

1.2 The following 2 and 1/2 days will be limited to 20 participants;

1.3 Registration and Selection process:

1) each TTO, associated university incubators and/or science parks, shall submit to UTEN Portugal ([email protected]), no later than the 7th of March the team they wish to attend this workshop (names + functions), as well as the 3-4 technologies with spin-off potential, to work/analyze during the 2nd Training Week.

2) the teams will be informed by email of the selection process no later than 8th of March;
3) the teams selected will also receive by email pre-reading materials.

2) closed meetings with Brett Cornwell and the UTEN team on Thursday. These individual meetings will allow the TTOs to have extra time to discuss with the UTEN invited consultants local strategies and projects. The scheduling of the meetings will be done in a “first to register-first served” basis.
