Bill Hulsey possesses and applies a deep and rich experience base in patent prosecution with his expertise in general business and legal counseling to provide excellent service to his clients daily. He has drafted and prosecuted over 1300 patent applications in the following areas: energy technologies and power systems; semiconductor devices, integrated circuits, computers, and telecommunications technologies; and aerospace and robotics technologies.
In addition, Mr. Hulsey regularly negotiates licenses and counsels clients regarding intellectual property enforcement and protection issues. His client company representations span start-up and emerging growth companies throughout the United States, as well as with multi-national companies of all sizes, both domestically and globally. An avid traveler, Mr. Hulsey particularly enjoys representing emerging growth companies throughout the world.
In intellectual property lawsuits and alternative dispute resolution proceedings, Mr. Hulsey has been a key participant in a number of high-profile and efficiently operating legal teams. These disputes have ranged from industry-defining patent disputes concerning personal computers, telecommunications equipment, and oil-field drilling and exploration technologies, as well as a variety of Internet and software disputes. Prior to founding HULSEY Intellectual Property Lawyers, P.C., William Hulsey founded the intellectual property law practice in the Baker & Botts, LLP Austin Office, co-established the Austin Office of the California-based Gray Cary, LLP technology law firm, and served as national practice leader for the Intellectual Property Law Practice of the Hughes & Luce, LLP.
